Greetings from Quarter Mile Combo
Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, 1/4 Mile Combo is comprised of four veterans of the Northern California roots music scene. Fronted by the talented and dynamic Ms. Nettie Hammar, they have created a new and fresh sound. The music has a strong rockabilly influence but with a unique, biting edge. Their new album "Motels, Gas & Beer" has just been released on 6 Volt Records and will be available through cdbaby.com, ITunes, digstation.com or the band's myspace page. Motels, Gas & Beer is being distributed in Europe by Rhythm Bomb Records. The band formed in 2005 and has shared the stage with Deke Dickerson, Lee Rocker, Junior Brown, Wayne Hancock, Big Sandy, Dave Gonzalez and The Derailers among many others. The boys had the honor of backing Marti Brom during her most recent west coast tours and will be doing so again at the Viva Las Vegas rockabilly weekender in April of 2010. All that said, enough chatter, it's really the music that matters!
